The leather on the strap isn't meant to match your bag perfectly but complement it (like below). Of course, that is totally up to you. We use a slightly heavier weight leather for the straps so we don't have to double up the leather like we do our our regular bag straps, but it's still durable, lightweight and comfortable. You will find that most of our straps pair well with most of our current leathers and we love sharing our personal favs all the time.
